Why we verify users, what methods we use, and how your data is protected.

At MedBuddy, protecting your medical data is our top priority. Identity verification ensures that every account holder is genuine and in full control of their sensitive information.

1. Why Verification Matters

Since we manage digital medical cards and health records, we are legally required to verify users to:

  • Prevent fraud and identity theft.
  • Ensure medical reports are accessible only to the rightful owner.
  • Stay compliant with the DPDP Act, 2023.

2. Common Verification Methods

MethodPurpose
Aadhaar OTPConfirming official identity for Card creation.
Mobile OTPSecuring logins and sensitive data access.
Digital SignValidating authority for Enterprise accounts.

3. Data Security

Your verification data is never stored in plain text. We use AES-256 encryption to ensure your Aadhaar and contact details remain private. We do not share your KYC information with any third-party advertisers.

Note: Sensitive identifiers are replaced by anonymized tokens once verification is complete to ensure maximum privacy.

4. Troubleshooting

  • Ensure your Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active to receive OTPs.
  • Avoid using VPNs during the verification process.
  • For persistent issues, contact support@medbuddy.co.in.
